Seventh meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation with Hungary

On September 29, 2016 the National Library of Belarus hosted the Seventh Session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Hungarian Commission for Economic Cooperation. Chair of the Belarusian part of the Commission is the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alena Kupchyna, Chair of the Hungarian part is the Secretary of State for Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, László Szabó.


During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues, including socio-economic situation in the two countries, cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, in the sphere of industry, agriculture, culture, science and technology, interaction between the chambers of commerce of both countries.

Participants also summed up the results of the business forum that was held the day before in BCCI with the participation of Belarusian and Hungarian companies.

Following the meeting, the sides signed final protocol of the 7th meeting of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Hungarian Commission for Economic Cooperation, cooperation program in the field of culture, the agreement on the establishment of a reference information center at the Chamber of Commerce of Budapest, as well as the cooperation agreement between the Hungarian-Ukrainian and the Belarusian chambers of commerce.
