On the solemn event on the occasion of celebration of the 71-st Anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War

On the 9th of May, 2016, H.E. Mr. Aliaksandr Khainouski, Ambassador of Belarus in Hungary, and diplomats of the Embassy took part in the wreath laying ceremony on the occasion of celebration of the 71-th Anniversary of the Victory in the Second World War.

The ceremony was organized by embassies of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

The wreath laying ceremonies where hold on the Szabadság square in the center of Budapest, where erected the monument for soviet soldiers, who liberated Budapest in 1945, and on the Kerepesi cemetery – the biggest burial place of the soviet soldiers in Budapest (7 thousand graves, nearly 5 thousand with names).

In ceremonies also took part representatives of the Ministry of defense of Hungary, civil veterans and antifascists NGO’s, representatives of diplomatic corps.
