Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus A.Kupchyna visits Bosnia and Herzegovina

On October 4, 2016 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alena Kupchyna, visited Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the visit, the consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina were held. Bosnian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Josip Brkić.

The sides discussed the whole range of Belarusian-Bosnian relations, as well as cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Special attention was paid to the issues of interaction between Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of the Central European Initiative. Bosnian side informed about its experience of Presidency in 2016, and expressed its readiness to provide assistance during the Presidency of Belarus of CEI in 2017.

Following consultations, the Foreign Ministries of the two countries signed a Protocol on cooperation, which, among other things, foresees the intensification of contacts between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of international organizations and multilateral forums.

A.Kupchyna also met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mato Franjičević.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for the intensification of cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as regional cooperation and participation of Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the specialized exhibitions and forums.
