Bilateral turnover in 2016 shrunk by 12% and reached 70 mln. USD, Belarusian export amounted to 10 mln. USD, import – 60 mln. USD.

In 2015 trade turnover shrunk considerably (by 27%) and amounted to 80 mln. USD.

The perspective spheres of bilateral economic interaction are energy, construction, machinery, agriculture, telecommunications, tourism.

The important instrument of bilateral interaction is the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Slovenian Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical cooperation and accompanying business forums, the sessions of which have been conducting on regular basis.

The joint working group on agricultural cooperation has been established within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission, the first meeting of which was taken place on 22 June 2016 in Ljubljana.

During 24-26 March 2016 the business delegation of Slovenia headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Karl Erjavec visited Belarus and held meetings in the Belarusian authorities. Mr.Erjavec met with President, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
