On participation of the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary in the commemorative events on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Victory

On May 6-8, 2021 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Hungary Aleksandr Ponomarev, Defence Attaché Colonel Pavel Khatsianouski and Embassy’s staff took part in the celebrations marking the 76th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

The representatives of the diplomatic mission paid tribute to Soviet soldiers who found their eternal rest on Hungarian soil by laying wreaths at burial sites in Kaposvár and Székesfehérvár as well as at the memorial on Freedom Square in Budapest and at the Kerepesi cemetery, the largest place of burial of Soviet soldiers in Hungary.
