Ambassador of Belarus A.Ponomarev meets with the President of the International Tekball Association

On August 10, 2021 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary Aleksandr Ponomarev visited the headquarters of the International Tekball Association where he held a meeting with the President Gábor Borsányi, who also designed the special table for tekball.

Tekball is a sport with a ball. A curved table is used as a playing surface, which is a unique Hungarian invention by Gábor Borsányi. At the international level the game is represented by the International Tekball Federation (FITEQ). Game is included in the program of the European Games in 2023.

During the meeting there was a presentation of the possibilities of tekball gameboard, including for athletes and fans of sports with disabilities.

The parties discussed the prospects of establishing interaction between FITEQ representatives and Belarusian partners, including in the context of the development of twinning and regional ties between the two countries in order to attract the Belarusian sports community to participate in sports events using the TEQ-board.
