Ambassador of Belarus A.Ponomarev meets the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

On March 11, 2021 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to  Bosnia and Herzegovina  Aleksandr Ponomarev met with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and agreed on a plan of bilateral visits for the near future. The two sides agreed that the opening of the office of the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which took place in December 2020, should give a positive impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas.

The meeting with the BiH Presidency Chairman was held during the Ambassador's working visit to that country from 8 till 10 March. The Ambassador visited several towns in Republika Srpska: in Zvornik he met with Mayor Zoran Stevanović, in Bratunac – visited TRB company, one of the largest enterprises of the regional military-industrial complex.

Ambassador Ponomarev also met with Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac, the management of Belaz Premar Services d.o.o. Ugljevik, which is an authorized distributor of Belarusian dump trucks, and representatives of other business circles interested in trade and economic cooperation with Belarus. In order to intensify the process of development of the legal and contractual framework, the meeting was also held with the leadership of the legal department of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
