On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War

 On May 8-9, 2020, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary Alexander Ponomarev and diplomats of the Embassy laid wreaths at the burial places of Soviet soldiers in Kaposvár, Szekesfehervar, as well as at the monument to Soviet soldiers on Freedom Square and the largest burial place of Soviet soldiers in Hungary — Kerepesi cemetery in Budapest.

Diplomatic mission staff honored the memory of 80,000 Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for the liberation of Hungary from Nazism and found their eternal rest on Hungarian land.
