On the first meeting of the Belarusian-Hungarian working group on agriculture

On January 31, 2023, via videoconference, the first meeting of the joint Belarusian-Hungarian working group on cooperation in the agricultural sphere, established within the bilateral intergovernmental commission, was held.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Mr. Sergey Fedchenko. The Hungarian delegation was headed by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Oszkár Ökrös.

The representatives of the responsible ministries, embassies, institutions and business circles of both countries took part in the event.

During the meeting, the topics of agricultural sector development and approaches to food security were discussed. The parties also considered a wide range of issues within agricultural cooperation, including poultry farming, breeding, business cooperation and mutual trade, implementation of innovations and advanced technologies in agriculture.

As a result of the meeting a number of agreements on further joint work and implementation of mutually beneficial projects were reached.
