On the Participation of H.E. Uladzimir Ulakhovich in Laying Wreaths at the Monuments to Soviet Soldiers-Liberators in Budapest as Part of Marking the 81st Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On May 7, 2026, H.E. Uladzimir Ulakhovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary, Mr. Dzianis Volkau, Defence Attaché, Embassy staff and members of the Belarusian diaspora took part in the ceremonies of laying wreaths and flowers at the monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators on Freedom Square and at the Kerepesi Cemetery in Budapest to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The commemorative events were also attended by heads and representatives of the Embassies of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Vietnam, Brazil and Palestine, as well as Hungarian public associations and anti-fascist organizations.

The heroes’ feat is immortal. Belarus remembers.
