On Participation of H.E. Uladzimir Ulakhovich in the Seventh Session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health in Budapest

From 5 to 7 November 2025, Budapest hosts the seventh session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes. The event marks the 20th anniversary of the Protocol's entry into force.

The States Parties to the Protocol are considering key issues related to access to safe water supply and sanitation, prevention and reduction of water-related diseases. The session also discusses the main challenges in this area, ways to address them, and identifies priority areas of work for 2026-2028.

As the Head of the Belarusian delegation, Ambassador Uladzimir Ulakhovich delivered a speech during the high-level segment. During the session, our country's best practices in the field of water supply, sanitation and hygiene were presented, including in the context of achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 6.
