On the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary Uladzimir Ulakhovich in the Solemn Ceremony of Pouring the First Concrete into the Foundation of the New Power Unit of the Paks-2 Nuclear Power Plant

Uladzimir Ulakhovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary, took part in a solemn ceremony marking the pouring of the first concrete into the foundation of the new power unit of the Paks-2 Nuclear Power Plant.
Among the guests and participants of this landmark event for Hungary and the entire European energy sector were Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Alexey Likhachev, Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the IAEA, Andrey Petrov, Director General of Rosenergoatom Concern, and others.
This event is a vivid testimony to the deep mutual interest of our countries in developing a strategic partnership and confirmation of our shared commitment to the goals of clean and safe energy.
Our cooperation goes beyond diplomatic support. Belarusian specialists, who have unique experience in the construction and commissioning of their own Belarusian nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, are now making a direct contribution to the implementation of the Hungarian Paks-2 project. Their knowledge, skills and responsible approach are highly valued on site. Our country acts not only as a reliable partner, but also as a supplier of modern expertise in the field of nuclear energy.
