On Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus O.Kravchenko's visit to Slovenia

On November 28-29, 2017 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr. Oleg Kravchenko paid a working visit to Slovenia.


Mr. Oleg Kravchenko met with Ms. Alenka Suhadolnik, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Slovenian Commission. The sides discussed the current issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, including in the framework of the implementation of the agreements following the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Slovenia in July 2017, as well as plans for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission. As a result of the meeting, Mr. Oleg Kravchenko and Ms. Alenka Suhadolnik signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Belarus in the field of economic cooperation in the markets of third countries.


During the meeting with Mr. Matej Marn, Director-General for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the MFA of Slovenia, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation between Belarus and the European Union and the results of the 5th Summit of Eastern Partnership that took place on November 24, 2017 in Brussels.


The Belarussian delegation also held meetings with Mr. Stanislav Rashchan, Head of the Department for Strategic Studies and Analysis, Mr. Gorazd Justinec, Executive Director of the Center for European Perspectives, and Mr. Janez Skrabec, Honorary Consul of Belarus in Slovenia and CEO of “RIKO” company. During the meetings the issues of the development of Belarusian-Slovenian political, trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
