National Reception on the Occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus
30.06.2025On 27 June 2025, on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary organised a gala reception in Budapest.
The event was attended by more than 40 heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of Hungarian state bodies, the business community and the public, Belarusian compatriots living in Hungary, as well as partners and friends of the Embassy.
Uladzimir Ulakhovich, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. In his speech, the Ambassador drew attention to the significance of the 3rd of July holiday for every Belarusian, especially in the context of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Belarus. Uladzimir Ulakhovich emphasised that over the years of independence, sovereign Belarus has achieved considerable success both in economic and social development and in the development of international ties with countries all over the world, including in the multilateral format. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Hungarian partners for their constructive approach and readiness for comprehensive co-operation in the spheres not affected by restrictions.
On behalf of Hungary, Belarusians received congratulations on Independence Day from Adam Stifter, Deputy State Secretary, responsible for the development of Eastern relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
During the reception, the guests reveled in the performance of the musicians from the clarinetist quartet of the ProArtis Children's Art School of Paks.
